Woody Allen’s self portraits

These snapshots are selected moments of Woody Allen’s films which he wrote, direct or played. I like to focus on the character who, Woody Allen likes to portray differently. A common man, unlike Hollywood superstars who is an innocuous little guy or a clumsy artist. A born loser who loves cinema and literature. An unlucky lover who always talk and criticize everything. And a funny verbal sweet man we connote help but love.

I did not select these screenshots along with Allen’s quotations for analyzing his movies or Woody Allen himself. As well as I had no attempts to interpret his works from a psychology or philosophy point of view. Renewing Woody Allen’s thoughts and concerns simply excite me as not only I had great sympathy but experiencing them contrary to my cultural differences.
